Chemical Composition:

The plant contains sesquiterpene,triterpene esters, namely, 23-trans-p-coumaroyltormentic acid, 23-cis-p-coum -aroyltormentic acid, nerolidol-3-O-alpha-l-rhamnopyranosyl (1-->4)-alpha-l-rhamnopyranosyl(1-->2)-[alpha-l-rhamnopyranosyl(1-->6)]-beta-d-gl,

3-O-trans-caffeoyltormentic acid and 3-O-trans-p-coum aroylrotundic acid.
