Chemical Composition:

Carrot seed oil include a-pinene, camphene, b-pinene, sabinene, myrcene, y-terpinene, limonene, b-bisabolene, geranyl acetate and carotol, monoterpene hydrocarbons (66-85%) represented mainly by -pinene (40-46%) and myrcene (12-24%).The most abundant sesquiterpene constituents were -caryrophyllene (4.6-13.2%) and carotol (1.2-6.1%), Carrot pulp contained 4-5% protein, 8-9% reducing sugars, and 5-6% minerals. Pulp contained 37-48% total dietary fiber and had a high water-holding capacity (WHC), ranging from 9.42 to 10.52g water/g organic matter.

Part used : Dried aerial parts, pulp and seeds.
